Discover Meet Me in Paris

Optional Afternoon Excursions

All optional excursions are carefully curated to complement the Bernina Meet Me in Paris programme, giving guests the opportunity to explore Paris in the afternoons while keeping the overall pace comfortable and well organised.

How the optional excursions work

All afternoon excursions are entirely optional. Guests are welcome to join any, all, or none of the organised excursions, and may also choose to make their own independent plans in the afternoons.

For guests who book an organised excursion, the following applies:

  • Erin (your Bernina Host) will escort guests from the hotel to the venue at approximately 14:00–14:30, depending on the day
  • A clear meeting point and return time will be agreed, and Erin will escort guests back to the hotel
  • Guests who do not return at the agreed time will be required to make their own way back to the hotel
  • All tickets are booked in advance by Creative Travel Services (CTS)
  • Guests will select and pre-pay for excursions via an online booking form
  • The booking form will be sent approximately 45 days before the booking deadline, with a final booking deadline of 90 days prior to travel

Guests who choose to make their own arrangements are responsible for booking their own tickets, organising transportation around the city, and returning to the hotel in time for any scheduled evening activities.

This structure allows us to secure timed entries where required, reduce queuing, and ensure a smooth and well-coordinated experience for those who opt into the organised excursions.

Tuesday – Hop-On Hop-Off Paris Bus Tour

$58.50 per person

A relaxed and flexible introduction to Paris, ideal for guests who want a broad overview of the city without extensive walking.

Guests will receive a Big Bus Paris “Discovery Ticket”, which allows travel on an open-top sightseeing bus covering major landmarks including the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, Notre-Dame, the Champs-Élysées, and more.

Guests may:

  • Remain on board for a full panoramic circuit, or
  • Hop on and off at designated stops to explore areas of interest at their own pace

Recorded commentary is available onboard, providing historical and cultural context throughout the route.

Wednesday – Eiffel Tower

Summit Access by Elevator - $54 per person

This excursion includes reserved elevator access to the summit of the Eiffel Tower.

Guests will:

  • Ascend by elevator (no stair climbing required)
  • Enjoy panoramic views across Paris from the highest public viewing level
  • Have time at the intermediate levels as well as the summit

This is full summit access, not just entry to the grounds, and must be booked well in advance due to limited availability.

Thursday – Louvre Museum

Timed Entry + Audio Guide - $57 per person
This visit includes pre-booked timed entry at 14:30, along with an audio guide.
Tickets provide access to:

  • All permanent collections within the museum
  • Highlights such as the Mona Lisa, Venus de Milo, and the Napoleon III Apartments

The Louvre is vast, and while it cannot be fully explored in one afternoon, the audio guide allows guests to focus on key works and navigate the museum at their own pace.Pre-booking is essential, as same-day tickets frequently sell out.

Friday – Montmartre & Sacré-Cœur Guided Walking Tour

$38.50 per person - (Approximately 1.5 hours)

A guided walking tour led by a local professional guide through the historic and artistic neighbourhood of Montmartre.

The tour explores:

  • The bohemian history of Montmartre
  • The artists, writers, and designers who lived and worked in the area
  • The streets, viewpoints, and atmosphere that make this area one of Paris’s most distinctive quarters

The guided tour concludes at the Sacré-Cœur, where guests will have free time to visit the basilica. - Entrance to Sacré-Cœur is free of charge.

Depending on final numbers, this tour may be shared with other travellers and not exclusively private to the Bernina group.

Please note that Montmartre involves uneven streets and gentle inclines.

Saturday – Notre-Dame Cathedral

Self-Guided Visit (Free Entrance)

Guests are invited to visit Notre-Dame Cathedral on Saturday afternoon.

While entrance to the cathedral is free of charge, we do need to know in advance how many guests wish to visit so that we can reserve a timed entry slot. This helps avoid standing in line and ensures a smoother experience for the group.

The length of the visit is influenced by the day’s overall programme, including a farewell dinner cruise on the Seine at 18:00, and guests are free to explore at their own pace within that timeframe.

For those whose travel plans allow, there is also the option to attend Sunday morning Mass independently at 08:30 or 11:30.
